The Venture Foundation Ltd. is the charitable, fundraising arm of Camp Venture. It was founded to create public awareness about the Camp Venture organization and the people with developmental disabilities who live and work here.

Since 1984 the Venture Foundation has been winning the hearts and minds of the people here by offering a host of community events so that our friends and neighbors might get to know and support us.

The annual Cablevision Cablethon family show, alone, attracts more than 40,000 viewers each year.

The Foundation’s accomplishments are many. A five-year campaign was launched to assist in the construction of two indoor therapeutic pools at Venture Center. A year later the “Pond of the 200,000” was dedicated nearby, followed by a fund-raising effort to help construct the Kathleen Lukens Independent Living Center.

Foundation dollars helped to build an Alzheimer’s wing at Venture Inn in Nanuet for the people in need. Next came the rebuilding of Venture’s flagship summer camp program at a new site in Stony Point.

The Venture Foundation also assists families and accepts gifts from those who wish to make a planned gift through their personal estate plan.
